August 1st, new CTMH idea book goes live!

I am so excited that I got to attend CTMH Convention this year. This means I have new CTMH product that will be arriving on wednesday of this week, I cannot wait!

The new Close To My Heart idea book goes live to customers on August 1st. I am having an Open House on Saturday August 13th at my house in Flemington NJ if you would like to come along to pick up your free copy of the idea book. I will also have lunch (it runs from 10am-2pm), free make & take, & giveaways galore!

Sad Times

Well times are sad in my house. My Grandfather just passed away on October 7th and now my Nanna has been diagnosed with cancer. It is very aggressive and all over her body, so they simply cannot treat it, only maker her comfortable. She has been given about 2 weeks to live. :(

If you believe in the power of prayer then please say a prayer for my Nanna, to be at peace.

My Favorite CTMH Product

Right now I am getting ready to scrapbook photos of my girls from Halloween. What is more perfect then the Hooligans paper pack?! That is my favorite product right now. The colors and patterns are perfect for Halloween or any party for that matter. I saw the paper pack used by another CTMH consultant for a hot air balloon layout & it looked fantastic.

The mini medley accents in Lagoon are the perfect accessory for these layouts too. I can't wait to scrapbook my pics & use them!

Positive ANA blood test?

The latest thing in my dr visits is that I visited the hospital for a Nuclear Thyroid Test. Everything came back totally normal! So not my thyroid.

However, the dr did various blood tests and my ANA came back positive. She now wants to do another blood test as you can get false postives & some further testing on it.

Of course I looked up what the heck an ANA test was online and see that it often means you have lupus! A bit worried, but would also make some sense.

So back to dr tomorrow for more blood tests! Will update if I find anything out!

Oh & my Vitamin D was very low, so have to add vitamin D into my daily pills. I do take a multi-vitamin with 1000 IU (250% of your daily value), but Dr said that is not enough. Hopefully that will help with me being tired so much!

Thyroid problems possibly?

Well today is more of a personal blog post. I have been suffering from being tired all day for many years now. I just put it down to either being a mom of twins or me being lazy. But now my weight is getting out of control too. :(

So off to the Dr I went on friday. Dr thinks I may have an enlarged thyroid & took blood to do several tests including thyroid levels, vitamin D levels, iron levels, among others. 3 days later I now have a nasty purple bruise on my arm from the blood tests too!

Now I play the waiting game for the results. Part of me hopes I will not have thyroid problems as it will be another medication to take. But part of me hopes it is my thryoid as then I will know what is causing these problems and can hopefully fix them.

So does anyone else have any thyroid problems?

I will update and let you all know what the tests reveal, later this week hopefully.

Wonderful Open House

What a gorgeous day it is outside and to make the day even better I had a wonderful CTMH Open House!

I had a single page layout from the Reflections book that everyone got to make. The title was Fall, so they can add some pretty fall pics to it later.

Then we looked at all the new exciting CTMH products that just came out. Everyone that attended placed an order with me. I guess they all loved the products just as much as I do!

Finding fossils!

Yesterday we went fossil hunting at Big Brook in Marlboro NJ. The girls had so much fun digging for fossils. Elise fell down & ended up sitting in the little stream, but it was all fun & she didn't cry. LOL The girls did not want to leave when it was time!

We were only there for about 45 minutes and managed to find 4 shark teeth and 2 pieces of squid! So a successful hunt.

I know we will be back, but maybe we will try a different stream next time, to mix it up a bit.

Anyone else been looking for fossils? Have you had any luck? Would love to see what you found!
